Hi Doug,
The feature of editing multi-select fields is one that I’ve had on the back-burner for a little while, in the meantime try the following work around for bulk setting the same value to multiple projects:
- Open a single Project normally from PWA and set the values normally.
- Open Bulk Edit and use copy / paste or fill down to copy the multiple values to the required projects.
Otherwise thanks for the feedback, I will look to include this multi-item feature in the next Bulk Edit update.
Martin LaukkanenKeymasterHi Max,
It might be caused by the first known issue that I have posted here: https://nearbaseline.com/blog/apps/bulkedit/support/, can you try to select ‘English US’ as your install language? By default the SharePoint store tries to use your local language, however Bulk Edit only comes in English and so the install fails.
Let me know how that goes,
Martin
Martin LaukkanenKeymasterHi Max,
BulkEdit is a SharePoint hosted App and so does not require the S2S auth discussed in that thread about Provider hosted apps.
I have tested it personally in a number of environments both on-premise and online and have only seen that specific error message when trying to install in a site collection without Project Server, so can you firstly double check that you are adding it under your /PWA site specifically?
Otherwise have you been able to install other Project apps from the SharePoint app store apart from the Quick Status app you mentioned? Perhaps the Bulk Publish app which is another free Project Server app with identical requirements to Bulk Edit.

Good question, at present the SharePoint store is the only distribution channel so you cannot for instance download it from here, the App model does require Internet connectivity to deploy, update and license Apps. See the following forum post for some MS responses on the topic:
Having said that with BulkEdit as a free app I will look a ways in which I could separately provide an offline package as it is a SharePoint hosted app which doesn’t require any extra connectivity.
